WATERBUS

Set sail on our waterbus service for easy travel between Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, The Royal Navy Submarine Museum, and Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower.

During the summer season (April-October), the waterbus runs Wednesday-Sunday. However, during the winter season (November-March), the waterbus only runs at weekends. During Hampshire School Holidays year-round, our Gosport attractions are open daily and the waterbus extends to 7 days a week.

The Waterbus is subject to availability and prevailing weather conditions and its availability cannot be guaranteed. The waterbus leaves from the jetty alongside HMS Warrior. Please see the table below for the waterbus departure times.

The Waterbus is included with an Ultimate Explorer ticket and to those looking to visit one of our Gosport sites. This is subject to availability and weather conditions. This complimentary service has limited capacity (max 50) and places cannot be guaranteed. Please ask a team member about alternative ways to visit Gosport attractions.

Unfortunately only umbrella fold stroller pushchairs are permitted on the Waterbus. Pushchairs, buggies annd wheelchairs are not permitted ont he Waterbus due to jetties and steps being unsuitable. There are buggy parks available at Boathouse 4, the Warrior jetty and on the pontoon.

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is located within Portsmouth Naval Base with entry through Victory Gate at the corner of Queen Street and the Hard.
