PRESS AND MEDIA
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is home to world famous ships, submarines and museums that tell the story of centuries of maritime and Royal Navy history.
Our attractions are surrounded by historic buildings, dry docks and features that have been used in films such as Oscar and Lucinda, Les Miserables, Transformers: The Last Knight and Napoleon.
We regularly welcome production crews to the site to work with our specialist teams, expert spokespeople and unique attractions. We are part of a working naval base and the security and safety of our team and visitors is paramount.
PRESS VISITS
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is one of the leading visitor destinations in the country and we are always happy to work with consumer media/influencers reviewing a day out with us. Applications for these visits must be made in advance by emailing media@nmrn.org.uk and be supported by a commission and a valid media accreditation.
We welcome visits from media researching stories and broadcast opportunities about our attractions. Our team of experts are available to discuss specialist subjects and access to our archives.
FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY
Charges can apply and filming generally takes place out of visitor hours. Commercial photography or video is not allowed on site without approval and will be charged for. Drone flights need prior approval.
