Join us this summer as we follow three historical icons on an adventure to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
This Summer Portsmouth Historic Dockyard will be hosting a ‘Race Across the South Coast’ inspired by the popular BBC series Race Across the World.
Join us on our digital channels as we follow Queen Victoria, Admiral Nelson and Henry the VIII as they race from locations across the South of England back to the home of their flagships in Portsmouth. The race will see the historical icons solve clues along their routes and pay visits to a range of towns and cities from across the South of England as they make their way back.
As legs of the journey are shared, social media followers will have the chance to help solve clues online and to earn the chance to win tickets to the dockyard this summer.
The race will begin on 22 July and will be broadcast over three weeks. Users are able to follow the journeys on instagram at @phdockyard or Facebook.
Clues will be issued in each video and those wishing to enter the prize draw will be asked to share the social post with #TakeOnTheRace and to send us a Private Message with an answer to the clue. All correct answers will be entered into a free prize draw.
Winners will receive annual tickets to the dockyard providing access to all nine attraction for a full year. Winners will be able to claim tickets up to the value of £150 meaning that they can also bring their family/friends with them.
