Step into the role of a Royal Marine engineer as you design, build and test your own engineering creations inspired by life at sea! Can your structure stand strong, move and adapt to survive?
Get ready to design, build and experiment this summer in an interactive engineering challenge inspired by life at sea!
Step into the role of a Royal Marine engineer and put your creativity to the test using real engineering components, including gears, connectors, hinges and wheels. Your mission is to build a structure that can stand strong, move with purpose and adapt to new challenges, just like equipment designed for ever-changing conditions at sea.
Test your ideas, refine your design and see how small changes can make a big difference. With no single right answer, every build is unique, encouraging families to think creatively, solve problems and work together. Fun, flexible and full of discovery, this activity is perfect for children who love to build, test and improve.
This event is made possible with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Taking place on 3 and 4 August in the Victory Gallery Learning Centre, this drop-in session runs from 10.30am to 4.00pm.
Included with a valid museum ticket and suitable for ages 5 and over with adult support.
This summer event series celebrates the story and spirit of the Royal Marines in anticipation of the opening of our new Royal Marines Experience later this year.
