May Half Term at the Mary Rose

Continuing our Portsmouth 100 centennial celebrations, this May half term our Tudor townsfolk will be in residence in the museum once again, getting to grips with flags and symbols and what it all meant!

Meet the Tudors

• Monday – Friday | 11.30, 12.30, 13.30 and 14.15

Come and meet our Tudor silk merchant and listen to the tale she spins of the Battle of the Solent on the 19 July 1545. Learn about the language of flags, their colours and emblems, and who is your friend or foe! Understand the meaning behind the mythical animals and beasts that were used in Tudor Heraldry.
