Hands-on History Craft: Tudor Life and Tastes

Discover the fascinating differences between the diets of wealthy Tudors and the working classes. Unearth the secrets of what food remains were found aboard the Mary Rose and delve into the tasty treats enjoyed by rich and poor alike.

Get hands-on with history by crafting your own Tudor-inspired sweets using icing fondant, dyes, and even a bit of gold sparkle! Plus, take home a pre-prepared ship’s biscuit kit and make your own Mary Rose ship’s biscuit at home.

£3 per child. This includes:

• A make-and-take Tudor marchepane-inspired sweet.
• A ship’s biscuit make-at-home kit.
• Entry to two storytelling sessions.

Summer Storytelling

Join our costumed Tudors for two engaging storytelling sessions. Explore the adventurous world of Vlad the Flea and learn why you wouldn’t want to sail aboard the Mary Rose. Don’t forget to dress the part and snap a photo as a Tudor!
