Exploring the Science of Sound

April 9 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

In this Little Explorers session, we explore the science of sound by investigating how instruments make sounds in different ways.

We kick things off by warming up our senses with a little mystery—what’s hiding inside our surprise bag?
Next, we dive into an exciting story that brings sound to life, followed by an energizing warm-up that gets us moving, shaking, and making noise.

Then, it’s time to get hands-on with three STEAM activities, where we’ll discover how sounds are made. To wrap it all up, we come together for our crowd-favorite Little STEAMers Song, leaving everyone humming, buzzing, and excited!

These free sessions need to be prebooked which you can do via the link below, please note you will need a valid museum ticket for access to this event.

Session times are:

  • 11:00 – for three-year-olds
  • 11:55 –  for four & five-year-olds
