Adrenaline for Every Generation
More than just a museum, the Experience will challenge you to step into the shoes of a Royal Marine.
See how far you can climb a rope, try lifting a fully loaded 90-litre rucksack and drum along with the Royal Marines Band. You can also take on the traverse wall, race to assemble your kit and find out how you perform in the bleep test.
Then prepare for battle through immersive AR and VR technology and experience the types of military operations Royal Marines face, revealing the skills, resilience and teamwork required to overcome every challenge.

Discover stories of courage, friendship, humour, resilience and sacrifice through personal accounts and nationally significant objects from the Royal Marines collection.
Visitors will also be able to see all ten Victoria Crosses awarded to Royal Marines since the medal was established in 1856, brought together in one display.
Interactive touchscreens will allow you to explore key moments in Royal Marines history, learn about the specialist roles undertaken by today’s Commandos and discover how the Corps has evolved from its formation in 1664 to the present day.
Once a Royal Marine – Always a Royal Marine
The Remembrance Room sits at the heart of the new Royal Marines Experience. Free to enter, this dedicated space invites visitors to pause, reflect and remember Royal Marines who gave their lives in service, as well as the wider human impact of service across generations.
